Communication & Action is Centre for Contemporary Communication (CCC)’s\u00a0\u00a0Strategy.<\/p>\n
Development communication strives for behavior change – not just information dissemination, education, or awareness raising. While the latter are necessary ingredients of communication, they are not sufficient for getting people to change long-established practices or behaviors. Any CHANGE requires time and creation of meaning through communication in a ‘development’ situation.<\/p>\n

To\u00a0take up Pilot Projects for Climate and Environment action, and successfully implement \u00a0them\u00a0so that they can be scaled up at the required\u00a0level.<\/p>\n

\u200b<\/strong>Dr. Suchitra Ghosh<\/strong>, President, is a Ph.D. in Avian Neurophysiology – Sec. Physiology, from University of Calcutta, Kolkata. She has teaching experience in several Under-Graduate and Post-Graduate Departments under Calcutta University. She has published over 25 Scientific Papers in National and International Journals.<\/p>\n Mallika Jalan<\/strong>, Secretary, \u00a0has an advanced degree (M.A.) in Development Communication, from Cornell University, NY, USA. She has been working in the Development Sector since her graduation in 1988.<\/p>\n Siraj Mistri<\/strong>, Member, a Bachelor in Bengali Language and Literature from Calcutta University, Siraj Mistri has 6 years of field experience in managing Tree Plantations and Kolkata’s Urban Forest.<\/p>\n \u200bDebangshu Mitter<\/strong>, Member,\u200b is a graduate from Calcutta University, Kolkata.
